From the day the first model was drawn by hand to today — the story of an atelier that designs, models and makes with its own hands.
Troia was founded in 1980 on the Nişantaşı–Osmanbey line, for the production of fashion jewellery and gifts. The excitement of those first years was simple: contemporary jewellery in the formal language of Anatolia. From design to modelling, from mould to production, every stage ran under one roof — and still does.
As the industry rushed to mechanise, Troia made a deliberate choice: to keep the trace of the hand rather than the ease of mass production. The oxidised texture on silver-plated pieces, the hand-tied knot of leather, the form glass takes in fire — none of it was multiplied by the uniformity of a machine. Every piece carries a small difference of the hand that made it.
The Troia design team works on new forms continuously. All production is in Türkiye, in our own atelier; the materials are silver plated and genuine leather, the workmanship 100% by hand.
“What makes a piece luxurious is not the weight of the gold, but the time of the hand that touched it.”
Every Troia piece passes through the discipline of the same four stages.
New forms drawn by hand from Anatolian motifs; proportions settled at the bench.
The approved design becomes a master model; its mould is taken for production.
Casting, assembly, oxidising and leatherwork — each done by hand.
Final polish; every piece checked one by one before it leaves.
After casting, every piece is finished by hand. The discipline of the hand, not of repetition.
All production in Türkiye, in our own atelier. Short supply, small batches, little waste.
Not synthetic; real leather chosen by hand, sewn by hand, growing more beautiful with time.
The depth of an oxidised surface, the weight of a sculptural form — Troia’s signature texture.
